Day 9 : Enable Termination Protection for EC2 Instance
100 Days of Cloud (AWS)

I'm Zin Lin Htet. Who love to learn and share about Linux, Cloud, Docker and K8s. Currently working as a DevOps Engineer at one of the famous Fintech Company in Myanmar.
Welcome back to Day 9. Today, we will learn how to enable termination protection for an EC2 instance. After completing this lab, you will understand why this feature is important.
Why we need to enable termination protection?
That’s a good question. In EC2, termination protection is not enabled by default. You need to turn it on manually. Imagine your production application is running on an EC2 instance. If someone accidentally terminate this instance, your application will go down and you will lose your data. Your business will suffer many losses during this downtime. If you turn on this feature, no one can terminate your instance. You can prevent accidental terminates. That's why this feature should be enabled on an EC2 instance.

You will notice that termination protection is disabled by default.

Congratulations you did it. It looks good. This lab was successfully completed without any errors. See you in day 10. If you have any issues please let me know I will be happy to assist you. Stay tuned and learn together. If you find my article useful, please kindly like and share it.
