# Day 16 : Create IAM User

Welcome to Day 16. Today, we will learn how to create an IAM user in AWS. In this lab, you need to create an IAM user with a name like **iamuser\_kareem**.

### What is IAM?

In AWS, **IAM (Identity and Access Management)** is a service that helps you **securely control access** to AWS resources. It allows you to manage **who can access what** in your AWS account.
